An abandoned autorickshaw has been lying at the entrance of Mukund Society and Varsha Sapna Society since the past 6 months at Gavan Pada on Mahatma Phule Road in Mulund (E). It is high time that the concerned authorities take note of this problem. apart from the filth accumulating here, it poses a security threat to the residents.

This is the situation prevailing at Agra Road near Mulund Colony where the gutter is overflowing on the road. This has resulted in the proliferation of mosquitoes and rats, causing utmost inconvenience to the locals. BMC officials just visited the site but no corrective measures seem to have been taken till now.

The gutter at Ali Bahadur Chawl at ACC Road has choked up and dirty water from it has overflowed on the road. The BMC T-Ward officials choose to ignore this contentious issue, thus compelling us to clean the gutter.

An unclaimed auto and an abandoned car have been seen near Kelkar College in Mulund (E). College students may face a potential hazard because of this abandoned auto. Kindly take appropriate action in this matter.

In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, around 3.30 a.m., a fire broke out in an illegal cabin at Kothari Bhavan due to a short circuit. Though the fire was brought under control in a short time, residents claim that the cabin is absolutely illegal. It is expected that BMC T-Ward should take stringent action in this matter.

HOME TIMES IMPACT

Last week, reader Kamal Kotai had highlighted that lacs of litres of precious water had leaked from the pipeline which had burst at Nagpal Road in Mulund Colony in the Citizen Reporter column of Home Times. Within just two days of the publication of this news item BMC T-Ward officials visited the site and repaired the broken pipeline after which the leakage stopped, according to Kamal Kotai.
