69 kgs Of Ganja Seized In Mulund!
Mulund Police nabbed 2 drug peddlers and seized 69 kgs of ganja in Mulund. The accused have been identified as Manoj Bandar Benudhar Sahu and Ravindra Barik. Both are residents of Kopri in Thane.
Informing about the crime, Mulund Police said that they received a tip-off about two drug peddlers coming to Vijaynagar area to sell ganja. As per the information, a team from Mulund police station laid a trap and apprehended them on suspicion. During the investigation, the police recovered 12.5 kgs of ganja from the accused.
The police further informed that during interrogation, one of the accused informed about hidden ganja at Kopri. On raiding the spot at Kopri, the police recovered an additional 53.5 kgs ganja. Thus, in total, police recovered 69 kgs of ganja worth Rs 6,90,000/-. The police are further interrogating the duo and trying to arrest the kingpin behind the racket.
The operation was carried under the supervision of Mulund Police Senior Police Inspector Ravi Desai, Police Inspector Prakash Warke, API Kadam, Avinash Pore and his entire team.
