1) This is the road at MHADA Colony near Navghar police station in Mulund East which has been lying in a dismal state since the past few years. It has never been repaired though there is a bus depot, a police station and towering colonies at this spot. However, this road has escaped the attention of the authorities whereas another road next to this road, though less used, is being constantly repaired. What a shame!

2) There is an old Maruti van left abandoned next to the old transit camp at Sant Ramdas Road. This has resulted in accumulation of dirt, dust and filth, not to mention the mosquito menace.  Will the authorities please do something about it?

3) A Scooty has been lying abandoned next to Khedbrahma Bus stop between Bal Rajeshwar Apartment and H.Kelkar factory. No action has been taken to remove it despite several complaints.

4) The condition of the footpath at J.S.Dosa Road is in a very bad state. One month has elapsed yet nothing seems to have been done to set matters right.

5) Very often, many people have stumbled outside an optician’s shop next to the newly started vada pav shop at N.S. Road in Mulund (W). Moreover, important Bus Routes No.391, 402, 405 and 412 and others stop here. The pavement is in a dismal state with broken paver blocks, uneven footpath and other eyesores. Though this area has a dense population of pedestrians, BMC T-Ward cares little for the citizens’ plight. It’s high time BMC at least takes cognizance of this issue and gives citizens decent roads.

6) The drainage opposite Johnson & Johnson on LBS Marg is in a shambles, which may lead to accidents. This open drain is lying in the middle of the road with no “caution” signboard to warn the motorists.

Citizen Reporter Impact

MCGM T-Ward and our young corporator, Neil Somaiya, have commenced the work of laying a new concrete gutter outside Bishen Industrial Estate after Home Times reported about the state of affairs here in its Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi and English editions in its ‘Citizen Reporter’ column. Thank you, Home Times!! Thanks are also due to the engineers of BMC T-Ward and Neil Somaiya.
