A YOUNG GIRL DIED IN BATHROOM

The mysterious death of a 21- year old lady in a bathroom has created a sensation in Mulund. While the doctors have declared her death as a result of suffocation, the police have reported the matter as an accidental death.

According to Mulund Police, the deceased had gone to celebrate New Year at Lonavala along with her friends and returned home safely on Tuesday. However, after one hour of her arrival when she went to take a bath, things became problematic as she did open the door despite repeated knocks. Finally, her family had to break open the door. On breaking the door, they found her unconscious. They rushed her to a hospital. When they took her to the hospital the doctors declared her dead on admission. Doctors told the family that the girl had died due to suffocation.”

Though the police have registered her death as an accident, speculation is rife that she might have been suffocated due to the extreme heat of the gas geyser or due to carbon monoxide released by the gas geyser. A gas geyser mechanic said, “The lady might have suffocated as the bathroom may not have proper ventilation and the lady might have operated the geyser at very low temperature. In such a case, the bathroom is filled with intense steam and this might have caused suffocation and led her to death.”

He added, “These days, due to the excessive cold, people are operating their geyser at very high temperature which is dangerous. However, if you have proper ventilation to pass out the steam then it is alright. But, in case your bathroom is small and does not have suitable ventilation, then the pleasure of bathing in warm water may turn fatal!”
