ABUSE & ASSAULT!!

Minor disputes between customers and the employees of private mobile company galleries are frequent. But, the instance of the gallery staff assaulting a customer is rare! In Mulund, a lady has lodged a complaint of physical abuse and misbehavior against the staff of Airtel mobile gallery located in Mulund West.

According to reports Rashmi Sardar (24), an Airtel sim-card holder wanted to convert her post-paid card into pre-paid card due to huge monthly bills. However, despite repeated visits to the Mulund Airtel gallery, her card was not converted due to some technical glitch.

On Wednesday afternoon she again went to the Airtel gallery and was quite angry when the Customer Care staff expressed regret to convert her sim card into Pre-Paid. Annoyed, she got engaged in a heated argument with the Customer Care official. Soon, the argument turned into a quarrel and, later, into a fight!! Rashmi alleges that the situation became so violent that even the other Airtel staff joined the brawl and physically assaulted her!!

Humiliated and aggravated by the ill-treatment meted out to her, Rashmi lodged police a complaint of misbehavior and physical abuse against the staff of Airtel working at Airtel gallery. In her complaint to the police, the lady said that she had been visiting the Airtel gallery, leaving all her important work, to get her sim-card converted from Post-Paid into Pre-Paid. But, despite umpteen visits, the gallery staff declined her request and when she got furious the staff abused and physically assaulted her!!

The Police are watching the CCTV footage of the Airtel gallery to investigate the case.
