Ashok Nagar Footpath Repaired!!

Residents of Ashok Nagar have expressed their gratitude to Home Times for solving the problem of the pathetic condition of the broken footpath in their area. After Home Times published the woes of Ashok Nagar residents regarding the dismal state of the footpath, BMC swung into action and has dismantled the wrecked footpath and re-constructed a brand new footpath, thus bringing a smile on the faces of Ashok Nagar residents.

It may be noted that residents of Ashok Nagar and motorists driving down this lane have been facing severe problems due to the wrecked footpath. The residents made several complaints to BMC T-Ward, but despite numerous complaints when the footpath was not repaired, Ashok Nagar residents approached Home Times to seek a solution to their grievance. Home Times took up the issue of the broken footpath with the concerned BMC T-Ward officers who promptly obliged and constructed a new footpath after dismantling the old.
Elated at this turn of events, residents of Ashok Nagar have heaved a sigh of relief and thanked Home Times for coming to their rescue.  A senior citizen from Ashok Nagar said, “I am very happy that the footpath has been re-built. Now I can walk on the footpath without fear of being mowed down by speeding vehicles!”

Readers may recall that last week, Mulundkars had united and, under the umbrella of Rasta Bachao Kruti Samiti, had approached BMC T-Ward Assistant Commissioner, Kishore Gandhi and protested against the illegal encroachment of footpath by hawkers. It was a daunting show of people’s power!!

Home Times feels, similarly, if Mulundkars unite and protest against the wrecked and worn-out footpaths in Mulund, then it will not only solve the footpath problem but will also compel T-Ward to revamp the footpaths and even the traffic jams will nose-dive.
