AT LAST!! FREEDOM FROM TRAFFIC JAMS!!!
Since the past one month, the road at Navghar in Mulund (E) had been under repairs. However, the progress of work at snail’s pace was causing a myriad of problems for motorists and pedestrians alike. Home Times had, in one its issues, highlighted this problem and had taken up this vexatious issue with the concerned authorities. Consequently, the repair work was once again undertaken and the road from Campus Hotel till the Eastern Express Highway was completed last week.
This has eliminated traffic jam problems faced by motorists heading towards the highway, as also the prompt removal of the material used at the time of repairs has brought great relief to motorists and pedestrians too.
Local resident, Jyoti Kamble, is of the opinion that enough time has elapsed in this work which could have been completed in 24 hours, if done diligently. However, this repair work was dis-continued midway and then resumed at a snail’s pace. This had posed grave problems to the residents who faced great difficulty using the pavement owing to the barricades put in place.
