BMC Fills The ‘Killer’ Potholes on Service Road at EEH

The condition of the Service Road going towards Thane on the Eastern Express Highway (EEH) had turned so pathetic that commuters avoided driving on the road due to fear of accidents. In the recent past, the road had witnessed many accidents, hence commuters had been making several complaints to get the road repaired. But BMC, as usual, paid no heed. Finally, Home Times took up the matter with the concerned PWD officers and soon the potholes on the Service Road were set right!

It may be noted that the Service Road on EEH was ruined by several potholes and this posed a threat to commuters. The road had turned into a ‘killer’ spot for two-wheelers as many commuters lost their balance due to the uneven and potholed road. This caused accidents and people raised a hue and cry. When the angry commuters brought the issue to Home Times, our team swung into action and spoke with PWD officers at BMC T-Ward. The BMC officials acted promptly and filled all the potholes.

Though the potholes have been filled, yet Mahindra, a Nashik resident who frequents Mumbai and passes on this road, told Home Times, “It is true that BMC has filled the potholes, but the work done is haphazard as the road is not smooth. Being uneven, it has become even more dangerous, hence it should be renovated soon.”
After a spate of reactions from the citizens, Home Times took the public complaint to PWD officials at BMC T-Ward, who promised to renovate the road soon!
