Broken Railway Security Wall Near Railway Quarters Repaired!
Mulund: A few months back, Home Times had conducted an exclusive investigation on the condition of railway security walls in Mulund after the unfortunate Amritsar rail tragedy that occurred in October during Dussehra. During its investigation, Home Times had reported about a broken wall near Mulund East wine shop and railway quarters, posing danger to the lives of commuters! After 2 months, the authorities have awakened from their slumber and the wall has finally been repaired!
The broken wall was a short-cut for many commuters who would trespass through the broken wall and hurriedly jump onto platforms number 2 and 3 after crossing the railway tracks 5 and 6. This was quite hazardous to the lives of these commuters as many express trains pass on railway tracks 5 and 6. Thankfully, with the broken wall being repaired the craze for short-cuts has come to end.
The wall was lying broken since past 5 to 6 months. Due to this, commuters took short-cuts endangering their lives. Surprisingly, even the policemen were seen passing through the gaps in the wall and crossing the railway tracks!! What is astonishing is that despite people being aware that trespassing railway tracks is a crime and it is an open invitation to death, yet these stupid people play with their lives for saving just a few minutes!!!
But, with the broken wall now fixed, such accidents may be avoided in the future.
