BUSINESSMAN ATTACKED AT MULUND FLYOVER

The Mulund Police have arrested 3 persons involved in the attack on a Panvel-based businessman, Rakesh Singh, on the Mulund East-West Flyover. Primary investigation has revealed that the reason behind the attack was enmity in business.

Mulund Police informed that there was enmity between Mulund businessman Anand Nathani and Panvel-based businessman Rakesh Singh over business matters. Anand has invested Rs 5 lakh in Singh’s business. The two were working together and Anand was the Executive Officer. However, due to financial constraints, the two were at loggerheads. In connection with the complaint, Rakesh Singh and his wife had even visited Mulund police station. However, last week, while travelling on the Mulund East-West flyover, Singh was attacked with paver blocks by some miscreants on a motorcycle.

Singh reported the matter to Mulund Police. During the investigation, the police identified the accused in the CCTV footage. The three arrested accused are Iqbal Sheikh, Nikesh Kanaujia and Ramesh Bhatia who have confessed that they had attacked Rakesh Singh.
