CBSE Results Declared; Mulund Girl amongst Top 3 in Maharashtra State

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class X results on Monday. Mulund girl Pranita Rao of Vidya Prasarak Mandal’s BR Toll English High School in Mulund East with 99% stood First in Mulund and secured the prestigious Third Position in entire Maharashtra State.

Interestingly, in a first of – its- kind, as many as 13 students topped the examination with 499 marks out of 500 marks!! The overall pass percentage was also a healthy 91.10%. Once again, girls outshone the boys. Home Times salutes the Top 5 students of Mulund who shone in the Board Examination of CBSE Class X.

 

1) Pranita Rao – 99% (495 / 500) – VPM BR Toll English High School, Mulund East.
Mulund East resident Pranita Rao is a brilliant student and a class topper since her Kindergarten days. She scored perfect 100 / 100 marks in three subjects viz. French, Maths, and Science.  She aspires to pursue Science and become an Engineer. Informing about her success formula she toldHome Times, “I started my studies from the beginning. I concentrated with utter devotion during my school examinations and this proved a boon for me in the Board Exams.” Besides, studies she also loves to play the piano, dance and sports.

 

2) Siddharth Mota – 97.80% (489/500) – Sheth Karamshi Kanji English School, Mulund West.
Siddharth scored perfect 100 / 100 marks in two subjects, viz., Sanskrit and Science. Siddharth is a studious student and the topper of his school. Informing of his success secret, he said, “I used to devote daily 1 hour to studies. However, during the Board examination, I studied daily 8 hours.” Siddharth aspires to become a C.A. (Chartered Accountant). Hence he would pursue Commerce. He informed, “I also have an interest in Commuter Technology and I also write reviews on Smart Phones.” Regarding life, he said, “If we desire to achieve a goal than nothing is impossible. We should always keep our ambitions high and this leads to achieving our dream.”

 

3) Prathamesh Upasani – 97.60% (488/500) – Sheth Karamshi Kanji English School, Mulund West.
Prathamesh Upasani scored perfect 100 / 100 marks in two subjects, viz., Maths and Science. Unlike the run-of-the-mill professions, Prathamesh Upasani wishes to make a career in Artificial Intelligence. He told Home Times, “I used to study 7 to 8 hours daily during my Board examinations. I think, whether you take tuitions or attend coaching classes, ultimately what helps us to score good marks is our own hard work and dedication.”

 

4) Hishita Sanghvi – 97.20% (486/500) – Sheth Karamshi Kanji English School, Mulund West.
Hishita Sanghvi aspires to become an IAS officer. Speaking about her study pattern, she told Home Times, “I had made my own time-table for my studies. I used to devote 2 hours daily to practise Maths.” She added, “I think, during examinations, students should not take tension or stress. The best formula to succeed is to follow sincerely the tips given to us by our teachers.”

 

5. Afrin Kerosenewala -97% (485/500) VPM BR Toll English High, Mulund East.
Afrin scored 99 marks in the additional subject (FMM). She said, “I did regular studies and would focus daily 4-5 hours on my studies. I wish to pursue Science and make a career in Medicine.” Right now she is studying for NEET examinations. “Hard-work and dedication is the only path for success,” she asserted.
