DARING RAILWAY RESCUES!!!

These days, local trains in Mumbai are always overcrowded. But, in the race to reach their destination, commuters take a risk, and this causes accidents. On Sunday, December 9, 2018, two accidents were reported at Mulund station but, fortunately, due to the sharp, vigilant and alert MSF (Maharashtra Security Force) personnel, Pradeep Sankalp, both the accidents were averted. Home Times salutes him for doing his duty with utter sincerity and honesty.

In the first instance, on Sunday afternoon, a lady, along with her 17-year-old girl, was waiting at platform No. 2 to catch a CST- bound train. When the train arrived at Mulund station, it was overcrowded. In the rush, the 17-year girl, boarded the train while her elder mother was left behind at the station. Watching her mother unable to board the train the girl decided to get down, but the train had started. Nevertheless, the girl jumped off the moving train. However, she lost her balance and fell between the moving train and the platform.

But, to her good fortune, an alert MSF officer, Pradeep Sankalp, saw her and immediately pulled her away and saved her life!!! Soon RPF (Railway Protection Force) jawan, Jaswant Singh and MSF officer, Pradeep Sankalp rushed the girl for treatment.

In the second instance, a 45-year-old lady, Afsana Khan, along with her husband was waiting for a local train to CST at 7.10 p.m. on platform No. 2 at Mulund station. When the train arrived, Afsana Khan’s husband boarded the train, while Afsana Khan could not enter the compartment. But, in the attempt to catch the local, Afsana Khan’s hand got stuck in the handle of the local train while the train started moving.

As a result, her body began to drag on the platform but, call it Destiny, once again vigilant MSF officer, Pradeep Sankalp witnessed the accident and yet again he immediately rushed to Afsana’s rescue and succeeded in pulling her out from the moving train. Afsana Khan thanked the officer for saving her life.

Eyewitnesses, too, were left overwhelmed by vigilant MSF officer, Pradeep Sankalp’s daring and compassion towards human life. “He did not care for his life and jumped instantaneously to save the lady. It was a thrilling sight and a delight to see him rescue the lady,” an eyewitness told Home Times.

The incident has been captured on CCTV camera.
