Debris on Goshala Road lifted!

Home Times, in its previous issue, had published an article condemning debris dumped on the roadside in Mulund under the headline ‘Debris dumped on roadside becoming New Garbage Bins in Mulund! Reacting to the news, BMC T-Ward has taken action and lifted the debris from many places in Mulund. This has brought a sigh of relief to Mulundkars.

It may be noted that Home Times had reported that with monsoon knocking at the door, the civic work of cleaning of nullahs, gutters, pipelines, roads, etc., has been in full swing in Mulund in the recent months. The footpaths with broken paver blocks are being repaired with new paver blocks. The entire work is being done by BMC’s private contractors. However, what is distressing is that, the debris removed from these sites is being dumped at the side of the road instead of being dumped far away.
Home Times reporters had even exposed how the debris is lying unattended at Dumping Road and Goshala Road in Mulund (W). Due to this, the local residents also threw household rubbish and filth over it daily, thus resulting in pollution. The foul stink emanating from this dump made life miserable for pedestrians crossing the road. However, after Home Times published the news ‘Debris dumped on roadside becoming New Garbage Bins in Mulund’ the BMC T-Ward awoke from its slumber and swung into action.

According to Home Times reporters, BMC T-Ward has lifted the debris from Goshala Road in Mulund(W) though the debris at Dumping Road is still lying as it is!!
Home Times hopes just as BMC T-Ward has cleaned Goshala Road, similarly it cleans the Dumping Road debris and other roads in Mulund at the earliest!
