Ear Disorders

Our ears play a very important role for hearing and maintaining body’s balance. Ear has three main parts: outer ear, middle ear and inner ear. Sound waves enter the outer ear, pass through the middle ear, inner ear and finally the brain.


Common ear disorders that may affect hearing or balance

Meniere’s disease is characterized by fluctuating hearing loss, noise in ears (Tinnitus) and sensation of spin or movement (Vertigo).
Tinnitus is sensation of ringing or buzzing sound in the ears.
Otomycosis is infection of external ear canal.
Barotrauma is injury due to change in air or water pressure.
Presbycusis is a hearing loss condition due to old age.
Vestibular neuritis is inflammation of inner ear due to viral infection.
Cholesteatoma is abnormal skin growth in the middle ear due to chronic infection.

Sujok Therapy:

Stimulate the painful points corresponding to the ears on the thumb of hand or big toe of foot, with diagnostic probe or Sujok ring. It must be done for 1-2 minutes, 4 times daily (to be done on points (pic 1).
Application of moth bean seeds (matki) on the stimulated points for 2-4 hours daily (pic 1)
Regular application of kidney beans (rajma) on the back of any finger corresponding to kidney points (pic 2).
