FATAL ACCIDENT: AUTO DRIVER DEAD; 3 INJURED!!
An auto rickshaw driver was killed and three persons sustained injuries when an Indica car coming from the opposite direction rammed against an auto coming from Thane towards Mumbai on Thursday. This mishap occurred at Airoli Bridge. The auto passenger has been grievously injured whereas the occupants of the Indica car sustained minor injuries. The police have booked the driver of the vehicle in this case.
According to the police, at around 12 mid-night, the auto driver, Sheshdhar Bhaiyyalal Yadav (40) was ferrying a passenger from Thane to Mumbai. At the same time, an Indica car coming from Andheri to Thane suddenly lost control and jumped the divider at Airoli Bridge and rammed into the ill-fated auto headlong. The auto driver died immediately whereas the passenger, Abhay Redkar, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to M.T. Agarwal Hospital in Mulund. The driver of the Indica car, Dattaram Sarge (49) and his co-passenger, security officer Shivaji Nagpure received minor injuries. Navghar Police immediately responded to the emergency and shifted the injured to M.T.Agarwal Hospital and have booked the driver of the vehicle.
