FIRE AT RAJA INDUSTRIAL ESTATE GARAGE; 2 CARS GUTTED!!
A fire broke out in a garage at Raja Industrial Estate in Mulund (W) on Tuesday evening which led to panic in the area. Recently, another fire had engulfed the premises of HDFC Bank at J.N.Road, destroying a greater part thereof owing to a short circuit. In less than 3 days of this tragedy, a garage became the casualty of a fire that gutted 2 cars. Here, too, the cause of the fire was a short circuit. The two cars suffered much damage. A Swift Dzire car was burnt beyond recognition, whereas the bonnet and the front portion of the second car was destroyed in the fire. For some time traffic on P.K.Road was disrupted and motorists had to face many inconveniences. The Fire Brigade rushed two fire engines and a water tanker which reached the spot immediately after being informed of the mishap and brought the fire under control in two hours. No human casualty was reported.
