Home Times’ New Year Gift to Khindipada residents! Garbage Bin wall repair work starts!

In our last issue, Home Times had reported about how people staying at Khindipada in Bhandup (W) have been waging a war against the age-old open garbage bin at Collector Chawl which has become a menace. The residents of the area had written several complaint letters to the concerned S-Ward authorities highlighting how the stink and foul smell emanating from the open garbage bin is making the residents sick and mentally disturbed. But the authorities gave a deaf ear. Finally, the residents sought Home Times’ help and, fortunately, the efforts of Home Times and the residents’ protest have yielded results as the civic body has re-started the incomplete repair work of the wall around the garbage bin!!

Frustrated by the multiplicity of problems, annoyed Khindipada residents approached Home Times for guidance and assistance.

Home Times swung into action and took the complaint to the concerned civic department. No sooner Home Times published the news, then the civic department started the repair work. The good news is that the repair work is in the final stages!!!

Thus, the efforts of Home Times and the ‘Power of People’ have yet again solved a grave issue in Mulund.
