HUGE POTHOLE EVOKES PUBLIC OUTCRY!!!
A huge pothole has come upon LBS Marg leading to Mulund Colony and it has made life difficult, particularly for Mulund Colony residents. Lamenting over the pothole, Reshma Shah, a Mulund Colony resident, told Home Times, “The pothole is more dangerous as it is located at a turn. Hence, people living in Mulund Colony are severely hit. We have made several complaints but, alas, BMC has turned a deaf ear to such a grave issue.”
The pothole has not only become a source of the traffic jam, but even the lives of bikers are at risk. Shopkeepers on the road told Home Times that nearby there is a school and many students cross this road. The pothole is so huge that it could prove hazardous to students, hence the citizens are appealing to fill the pothole before any untoward accident happens!!
Another resident told Home Times, “Potholes have become a common problem in Mumbai. Many people have lost their lives last year due to potholes. But, despite so many dead, BMC has learnt no lesson.” He added, “Now, LBS Marg will have a Metro. With such advanced technology, potholes on roads are like an ugly scar on the face of Mumbai. BMC must act fast and make smooth roads.”
