Priest Declared Dead, Opens Eyes! Takes Maa Narmada Devi’s Darshan and Dies Again!!
In an uncanny incident, a priest of Mulund’s Narmada Devi Temple collapsed while performing the holy pujan during the auspicious Hanuman Jayanti feast! Watching the priest collapse, the devotees rushed him to a nearby hospital. However, the hospital declared him dead on arrival. Dis-believing the hospital’s statement, the devotees and the priest’s family brought him back to the temple in the hope that Maa Narmada would revive him. When the priest was brought back to the temple, the family members were left astounded to witness the priest open his eyes!!! The priest looked at Maa Narmada Devi and, after taking her darshan, he closed his eyes again! When the family took the priest to another hospital, they too declared him dead!! However, the demise of the priest has created an uproar and people are marvelling at the miracles of the Almighty (Karishma Kudrat Kaa)!
Devotees attending Narmada Devi Temple located at M.G. road in Mulund West informed that, as usual, Shree Narmada Devi Mitra Mandal had celebrated Hanuman Jayanti magnificently. A grand fair was organised near the temple. Hundreds of devotees visited the temple and there was enthusiasm and religious passion all around. At about 10.30 p.m., pujan and archana started when suddenly the high priest, Jignesh Pancholi (40) fell down while performing the pujan!!
An eyewitness who was attending the pujan, said, “When Maharaj collapsed, everybody in the temple was taken aback. Members of the Parivar Sangha tried to lift Maharaj, but in vain. Even some doctors who were attending the pujan tried to revive Maharaj, but failed in their attempts.”
Later, Maharaj was rushed to Shraddha Hospital, but the doctors declared him dead on arrival. Grief-stricken family members of the Maharaj were heartbroken. However, being ardent devotees of Maa Narmada Devi, the family decided to bring back Maharaj to the temple. They placed his body at the feet of Maa Narmada Devi and began praying from the bottom of their heart. Suddenly, a miracle happened!! Maharaj Jignesh opened his eyes and took darshan of Maa Narmada Devi. Nevertheless, soon after taking darshan, Maharaj closed his eyes!!!
Devotees and family member who witnessed this miracle were left dumb-founded and a wave of joy spread all around. Soon Maharaj was rushed to Aarogya Hospital, but the joy of the family was short-lived as doctors at Aarogya Hospital, too, declared him dead!
Maharaj Jignesh was a bachelor and had devoted his life in the service of the Almighty and mankind. He resided with his father and his brother’s family close to the Narmada Devi Temple. Meena Joshi, sister of the deceased Maharaj told Home Times, “We have noticed that whenever Maharaj Jignesh performed pujan, his body would usually be under the spiritual possession of Mata Narmada Devi. The moment Mata left his body he would turn weak and fall down. Hence, when he collapsed, we felt the same. But, when Shraddha Hospital declared him dead, we were surprised. Hence, we brought him to temple and kept his body at the feet of the Mata and began praying so that Mata Rani would give him a new lease of life. When he opened his eyes, we were over-joyed, but the joy was short-lived.”
Neeta Pancholi, sister-in-law of Maharaj Jignesh told Home Times, “He was suffering from diabetes since the past many years. Two months back, he was admitted in an hospital for some illness. Hence, he was quite weak. In fact, our family had requested him to avoid organising the Hanuman Jayanti Fair, but he did not pay heed. The fatigue and weakness proved fatal.”
