Lotus Blooms once again in Mulund!

BJP candidate Mihir Kotecha wins by a massive margin!

The BJP Party yet again consolidated its power in Mulund by winning the Maharashtra Assembly Civic Polls by a huge margin! The BJP Candidate, Mihir Kotecha, registered an awesome victory over his opponents polling 57,315 votes!! Interestingly, the BJP Party has set an inimitable record in Mulund by winning the Maharashtra Assembly Civic Polls for the sixth consecutive term since 1995! Earlier, the seat was held by BJP veteran leader Sardar Tara Singh, who was unconquered for five terms!

The incredible success for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the civic polls in Maharashtra and Haryana has once again stamped the ‘Modi Wave’ and confirmed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s growing popularity.  On October 24, 2019, when the counting began, BJP candidate Mihir Kotecha was ahead in the race from the beginning and, as expected, he won the polls comfortably by a huge margin.

On October 21, 2019, in Mulund, a total of 1,54,537 voters excised their franchise. BJP-Shiv Sena-RPI candidate Mihir Kotecha won 87,200 votes while Harshala Rajesh Chavan, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) candidate stood second, winning 29,885 votes. The third position was acquired by the Congress-NCP candidate Govind Singh who won 23,844 votes. The independent candidate Nandkumar Birbal Singh won just 96 votes. Tragically, Mulundkars displayed a poor turnout and this resulted in candidates getting fewer votes.

The interesting aspect of polling in Mulund was that as many as 5,200 voters pressed the NOTA button to express their resentment against the government for not solving the PMC Bank scam.
