Maghi Ganpati Celebrations in Mulund

Maghi Ganpati is being celebrated all over Mumbai and Maharashtra with devotion and enthusiasm. Like each year, the spectacular Maghi Ganpati celebration of Shri Swami Charitable Trust at Sai Dham in Mulund West is attracting thousands of devotees.
The major highlight that draws devotees to Shri Swami Charitable Trust is its dazzling illumination and stunning decoration. The art director, Prathamesh Dalvi, deserves kudos for leaving no stone unturned to make the decoration first-rate. This year, the Trust has erected a gigantic sized replica of Sai Baba idol which is an exact copy of Shirdi’s Sai Baba! What’s unique is that even Ganpati idol is carved as Sai Baba! Devotees are marveling at the inimitable creation of Sai Baba idol and Ganesh idol and thronging in large numbers to pay their reverence.

Art director Prathamesh Dalvi said, “I am happy that devotes are appreciating my creation, but to make the massive set it took me almost 20 days! It was hard work and required a lot of dedication and patience. I had to pay attention to every minute detail to get the eye-catching look.”
It may be noted Jagdish Shetty, Founder of Shri Swami Charitable Trust, has been celebrating Maghi Ganeshotsav in grandeur style for the last 12 years with much gaiety and pomp. The celebrations include bhajans, Maha Aarti and other cultural activities. To add glamour to this event, Hindi and Marathi film and T.V. stars, political heavyweights and many eminent personalities seek darshan and pay their reverence to Lord Ganesh.

Speaking to Home Times, Jagdish Shetty said, “There are numerous devotees who have a desire to visit Shirdi and seek blessings of Sai Baba, but due to financial crunch or some strange reasons, are unable to go to Shirdi. Hence, we have erected a replica of Shirdi’s Sai Baba Temple.” He added, “We have also organized a Satyanarayan Pooja on February 6, 2020, and request devotees to attend in large numbers and take advantage of Maha Prasad.”
The Maghi Ganpati will conclude on February, 7, 2020.
