Mulund Police Alert for the New Year

Mulund Police has started its crackdown on anti-social elements and hooch liquor dens in Mulund to avoid any trouble during the New Year festivities as, at this time, revellers are known to create nuisance in pubs, bars, restaurants and on the streets after consuming liquor. Hence, under the guidance of Sr. PI Shripad Kale, Mulund police raided suspected illicit liquor dens in Mulund and succeeded in seizing 26 bottles of country-made liquor in their possession.

In a recent raid, Mulund Police have arrested three people involved in selling illegally country-made liquor. Among the three arrested is a senior citizen lady involved in this business since the past many years.

Mulund Police arrested the kingpin, Devidas Ambore from Shanker Tekdi in Mulund West and seized 6 bottles of country-made liquor from him. In addition, the police arrested Ajay Kumar from B.R. Road and recovered 10 bottles of country-made liquor from him. Similarly, Mulund Police raided Ramgad area in Mulund West and nabbed Yanku Bai Gaikwad, an elderly lady and seized 10 bottles from her.

It may be noted that, each year during New Year’s Eve there is a heavy demand for liquor and drugs as drinking and consuming drugs on New Year has become a trend among the youth. Hence, many anti-socials take advantage of this and illegally bring such items into the city. However, Mumbai Police is aware of this and is on its toes to nab such illegal traders particularly on December 30 and 31.

Mulund Police has alerted the police personnel at all the three Check Nakas of Mulund and sounded a red alert to keep a hawk’s eye on the entry of liquor and drugs into Mulund!!!
