Mulund Police’s Laudable Feat! Traces tempo in 48 hours! 

Kudos to Mulund Police for not only tracing the stolen tempo in 48 hours, but even nabbing the accused!! The police have arrested two accused from Sonapur in Bhandup West.

According to the police on Sunday, July 7, 2019, a tempo worth Rs 6.50 lacs was stolen from B.R. Road at Khindipada on Sunday. The owner of the tempo, Mohammad Mehboob Sheikh, lodged a police complaint at Mulund police station. Acting on the complaint, Sub-Inspector F.A. Malani of Mulund West police sation did a commendable job and traced the tempo within two days of the crime.

Sub-Inspector F.A. Malani began his investigation by gaining details about the tempo from its owner Mehboob Sheikh. During his conversation, Sheikh informed about his 2 friends Salman alias Sajid Wahid and Aftaab Akram Sheikh. Suspecting his 2 friends, SI Malani grilled his friends and, during intense interrogation, the duo confessed their crime and gave details of the tempo. The duo confessed that they had plans to steal scrap loaded in the tempo and sell off the tempo in Madhya Pradesh.

Both the accused have been sent to police custody for further interrogation.
