Mulund Police’s Laudable Feat!

Retrieves lost purse containing Rs. 21,000/- within 4 hours! 

Mulund: Mumbai Police was once regarded as the second-best police force in the world and, when it makes up its mind, then it succeeds in solving even the trickiest mystery. An instance of police efficiency can be gauged from the recent example when Mulund Police found a lost purse belonging to a lady containing Rs.21,000 in cash within four hours!!! Bowled over by Mulund Police’s excellent work, she expressed her joy and thanked them. She also acknowledged Mulund Police’s swiftness and efficiency.

The lady, Sushma Ojha, a resident of Konark Regency in Mulund West, who lost her purse in an auto rickshaw told Home Times, “On Monday, November 19, I hired an auto rickshaw from Devidayal Road in Mulund West to my residence. But I forgot to take my bag from the auto. I realised about my bag after reaching home. I was worried as the bag contained Rs.21,000/- in cash and a few important bank cards. Hence, I hurried to Mulund Police station and lodged a missing complaint of the bag.”

No sooner Mulund Police received the complaint, they swung into action. They started their investigation by watching the CCTV footage at the spot on Devidayal Road from where Ms. Sushma had hired the auto rickshaw. While watching the CCTV footage the police noted the auto rickshaw number and within four hours found the purse of Ms. Sushma Ohja with the able support of the RTO.

The police nabbed the auto driver. During interrogation, the auto driver confessed a lady had forgotten the purse on the back seat of his auto. The laudable search operation was conducted by police officer Sachin Patil and his team.
