MULUND STATION BAGS ‘CLEANLINESS AWARD’

Of the 42 railway stations on the Central Railway, Mulund Railway Station has bagged the ‘Cleanliness Award’ for standing first in this category. The Railway administration declared this news recently. Moreover, the Railway administration also felicitated the selfless and excellent workers who took up this onerous responsibility of keeping the station premises clean. This award has made entire Mulund proud!!

The 64th Railway Week has just concluded when excellent staff and workers have been honoured. Also, amongst the 42 railway stations on the Central Railway line, including the Harbour Line, Mulund Railway Station occupied the pride of place by bagging this prestigious award. This award was given taking into consideration the surrounding cleanliness, clean station premises, clean toilets and clean tracks up to 50 metres from the station. This announcement was made at a function held at the Central Railway auditorium at CSMT where Mulund Railway Station Manager, Shri G. D. Baranwal, was honoured by the administration for his selfless service to the Railways. Divisional Railway Manager, Sanjay Kumar, did the honours.

G.D. Baranwal says, ” Right from the start of the Swachhata Abhiyan, we have been endeavouring to keep Mulund Station clean and bring about a change. In this regard, we made some innovative changes and ensured that all the 4 platforms were kept clean. The untiring efforts of our cleaning staff have paid us rich dividends and we are, indeed, grateful to them.”
