MULUNDKARS, REJOICE!!!
Efforts had been afoot to link S.N.Road and ACC Road for quite some time now. Eventually, BMC T-Ward succeeded in getting this stretch under its possession from BMC. This private road which is going to be linked has a cemetery on it. A new road will be constructed to join the dead ends of S.N.Road and ACC Road after removing the cemetery. This has been a very major achievement for BMC in recent years, as this project had always been a hot topic of debate. If this project comes to fruition, then the menace of traffic jam will soon be solved to a great extent. Furthermore, it will greatly the reduce the distance from Thane to Mulund as also within Mulund. Also,the traffic on ACC Road, Tambe Nagar, Siddharth Nagar, Dumping Road Station and other roads will get reduced. This contentious issue was communicated to the local corporator, Prakash Gangadhare, who promptly took up the matter with BMC. BMC T- Ward Asst. Commr. Kishore Gandhi had also expressed the hope that this road shall be completed by the next monsoon. This has been a major achievement for both, T-Ward and Mulundkars, he averred. The biggest effect of this link road will be seen on Dumping Road and J.S.D. Road and commuting to Check Naka will be smooth. Further, simultaneously, it has been proposed to widen J.S.D. Road to benefit Mulundkars, Well done, BMC T-Ward!!
