Mulund’s Murder Mystery Solved! Killer Nabbed!

The mystery of the murder of an old lady, Rukshmaniben Damjibhai Visariya, who was found dead in her home on September 9, 2019, at Trivedi Bhavan in Mulund West has been solved. The Mulund police have arrested the accused, Krishnagiri Nimgiri (55), a history-sheeter having many criminal cases against him in Mumbai and across India.

Mulund Police Senior PI, Ravi Sardesai, told Home Times, “We have been on the hunt to trace the accused and, eventually after 21 days, we succeeded in nabbing the accused with help of CCTV.” He added, “Krishnagiri Nimgiri is a notorious criminal. During interrogation, he confessed that he had been planning to loot the house for the past one and half months. During his recce, he discovered the owner of the house, Rukshmaniben Damjibhai Visariya, had gone on a pilgrimage to Palitana ashram hence the house was locked without any occupant. Thus, he planned to loot the house.”

Informing further, Senior PI Ravi Sardesai said, “As per the plan the accused entered the house at night on September 8. Thinking the house to be vacant, he tried to enter the house by breaking the door. But, to his horror, he found the old lady inside the house. Incidentally, the same day Rukshmaniben had returned from Palitana. On hearing the sound, she woke from her sleep and confronted the accused. To silence her, the accused brutally killed her with the help of a screwdriver kept nearby. He pierced the sharp screwdriver into her. The attack was so lethal that Rukshminiben died on the spot. Seeing her dead, the accused was terrified and did not steal anything from the house, but took to his heels.”

The police have booked Krishnagiri Nimgiri under IPC section 302 (murder) and 453 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint).  The case has been solved under the able supervision of Akhilesh Singh (DCP Zone VII), Pandurang Shinde (Assistant Commissioner of Police), Ravi Sardesai (Mulund Police Senior PI) and his team.
