New Delicacy In Mulund, WORMS IN PANI-PURI!!!WHAT NEXT??

Mulund residents are quite angry and surprised as BMC T-Ward has still not taken any action against a pani-puri vendor whose pani-puri was found to contain worms!!

What is amazing the residents is that, despite public uproar and a written complaint lodged by the corporator of the Ward to BMC T-Ward, Assistant Commissioner Kishore Gandhi, BMC has turned a Nelson’s Eye to the grave issue!!

It is reported that a woman was enjoying Mumbai’s hot favourite street food, pani-puri near Khandoba Mandir in Mulund East. However, much to her consternation, she was suddenly taken aback when she noticed some worms floating in her pani-puri plate!!! She raised an uproar! People gathered, and she made an official written complaint to BMC T-Ward Assistant Commissioner, Kishore Gandhi.
Fearing for his life, the pani-puri vendor closed his business for a few days. Later, when the vendor noticed that no action was taken against him and he found the matter had fizzled out, he began business on the same spot, as usual!!!

This made the local people furious. Hence, irked by the apathy of BMC, the people approached local corporator, Sujata Pathak, and urged her to take action against the culprit. However, surprisingly, despite Sujata Pathak’s written complaint and public fury, the adamant BMC has not yet acted against the pani-puriwala!!!

People are amazed at the stupidity of BMC because it has ignored such a vital issue which is related to the health of several citizens. When Home Times spoke to Kishore Gandhi on this important issue, he said, “I did receive the complaint, but the problem is that such roadside vendors do not have any licence. Hence, they are not listed with BMC. As a result, it is difficult to hunt such vendors.” He added, “Nevertheless, let me assure Mulundkars that soon BMC will be conducting material search of all pani-puri vendors in Mulund.”
