Now, Access Your Hall Ticket On Mobile!

With Digital India becoming a success, Mumbai University (MU) has also launched its app ‘mum e-suvidha’. Students can download the app sitting at home and get access to their exam hall tickets and other vital information like exam dates, schedules, centers and circulars through this app. In addition, the app has features wherein students can avail of updated information regarding examinations, admissions, convocation and other events. Besides, students are also provided the facility to download the exam form, applications for revaluation and photocopies of answer sheets.

It may be noted the app can be used by all existing students from affiliated colleges having a Permanent Registration Number (PRN). The app is a grand success as, according to the Registrar of Mumbai University as MU, for the first time, has been successful in distributing the hall tickets to students 20 days in advance. The app is a boon for students as it has eliminated the unnecessary load and stress during the examination.

The only drawback of the app is that, due to its initial stage of operation, 57,000 students from just the Commerce stream have able to avail the advantage of the app. Nevertheless, MU is confident that soon other streams like Arts and Science, too, would avail the benefits.
Elated at the operation of the mobile app, many students expressed their joy and satisfaction to Home Times.

Hrithik Tambe:  “The app is, indeed, excellent because it saves the annoyance of making trips to obtain the hall ticket. Secondly, the app is a one-stop solution to all our queries.”

Harsh Amesar: The app is really good because, during examination, our studies are unnecessarily hindered due to unavailability of hall ticket. Thanks to the app we can acquire our hall ticket sitting at home.”

Vishesh Bajaj: From the viewpoint of student’s hardship to obtain hall tickets, the app is a commendable initiative. However, from the technical point of view, one cannot trust technology. Due to a scam or any technical glitch, the students should not be in trouble at the last moment during the examination. In, addition, the other hitch in the initiative is that all students do not have access to advanced mobile phones.”
