Senior Citizen Killed In Mulund
Mulund: The murder of a senior citizen in Mulund has created a sensation here. There is fear among the people. The police are hunting the killer. The deceased, identified as Rukshmani Damji Visaria (67), stayed alone at Trivedi Bhuvan on RRT Road in Mulund West.
The Mulund Police informed Home Times, “On Monday night, an unidentified person entered her house. When the lady tried to raise an alarm the killer smothered with a pillow. She died probably due to suffocation.”
Incidentally, the lady’s son, Mehul, stays in the same building but was ignorant of the crime. The lady had just returned from a pilgrimage from Palitana. Locals informed that on Monday afternoon, she came to meet her son Mehul and spent quality time with him. Later, she went to her own house.
In the same premises, the lady’s second son, Nitin, has a shop. On Tuesday, when one of the lady staff of the shop went to the deceased’s house to use the toilet, she was dazed to find the door of Rukshmani’s house ajar and Rukshmani lying unconscious on the bed!!! She raised an alarm. Soon, neighbours came out and Rukshmani’s son Nitin informed the police.
When the police reached the flat, they found Rukshmani in an unconscious state. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but doctors declared her dead on arrival. The police are watching the CCTV footage and interrogating the relatives and the near and dear ones of the deceased.
Meanwhile, the accused is at large as the mystery of the murder deepens.
