Several unemployed youth seek employment at Job Mela

Unemployment is the biggest problem of the country since the past many years. It is, indeed, tragic that graduates and even post-graduates have no jobs. Hence, in utter frustration, these learned youths are forced to apply for even menial jobs like peons in government offices!

The government did take the initiative to empower the youth with skills but, alas, there hasn’t been any proven improvement in the jobs scenario. To solve the burning problem of unemployment,MP Kirit Somaiya organised a Job Mela on May 1, 2018, which came as a boon to several unemployed youths as they went home smiling after securing good jobs.

The Job Mela was organised at MCC College in Mulund West and was a grand success. An unbelievable number of youths took advantage of this Job Mela. About 12, 800 job aspirants had registered online. The Job Mela had a job opening for everybody from Class X to Post Graduation. 44 reputed companies across India had participated in this Job Mela. On this occasion, special stalls focusing on Skill Development were also put up.

Besides Mulund, MP Kirit Somaiya also organised Job Melas in his constituency at different places like Bhandup and Ghatkopar. Present on the occasion were MP Kirit Somaiya, MLA Sardar Tara Singh, Corporator Neil Somaiya and other BJP activists.
