Street Name Board Cleared Of Obstruction

Last week, Home Times had reported how a paan vendor had obstructed the name board of Zaver Road at the corner of the same road and J.N.Road with a cloth and sponge to provide shelter to his customers and ensure that the name board would not injure his clients. He had completely covered the board so that the name of Zaver Road could not be seen. This meant that motorists and pedestrians could not make out the name of the road. However, Home Times’ exposure of this lapse evoked a positive response and the cloth and sponge covering the Zaver Road name board has been removed now making the board clearly visible.

A female hawker on the same street said, “The low height of the name board was hurting passersby. Recently, a senior citizen was injured due to the low height of the board which made him dizzy and he fainted. The board should be kept at a height so as not to hurt anyone,”
