T-WARD’S INDIFFERENCE!!! Mulundkars don’t matter to T-Ward??

The year 2018 had been an ‘impactful’ (pun intended) year for Home Times. During the entire year, Home Times, like a true crusader of Mulundkars, did its best to get resolved the multiple problems of Mulundkars which, tragically, were ignored by the civic authorities. In fact, Mulundkars are so pleased by the efforts of Home Times that now many more people have started approaching us to get their long-pending complaints solved.

It may be noted that Home Times not only publishes the problems of the people, but it approaches the concerned authorities and discusses the public’s grievances with them and seeks urgent solutions. Thankfully, Home Times has got a good response from the civic authorities and this has played a key role in getting the public problems resolved.

This week, Jetu Rajpal, a resident of Gavanpada approached Home Times complaining that the footpath near Jigna Apartment at Gavanpada in Mulund East is in a pathetic state and, despite a lapse of one year, the civic authorities have not heeded the complaints of the residents.

Interestingly, when Home Times approached T-Ward and enquired about the issue, T-Ward Road Engineer, Hemant Bhoye, said, “Every day, from 9 a.m. onwards, our road engineers visit all the roads and footpaths in the jurisdiction of T-Ward and, no sooner we find a particular road or a footpath in bad condition, we immediately invite tenders and appoint a contractor and repair it.”
However, in stark contrast, Gavanpada resident Jetu Rajpal rubbished the half-baked claims of Hemant Bhoye. Narrating his ordeal, he termed the T-Ward officials as hopeless and lethargic. Lamenting his suffering, he told Home Times, “Residents of Gavanpada, particularly people living in Jigna Society and its vicinity, have been facing problems due to the broken footpath. Senior citizens and pregnant women cannot move out of their houses. Since one year, I have been after T-Ward to get the footpath repaired, but in vain! I have written several complaint letters, but T-Ward officials have turned a Nelson’s Eye to the issue!”
Thu, it is clear that the T-Ward officials are not sincere in their work and harass the poor citizens to no limit and are surely indifferent to the problems of the people!!!

“Where does BMC use the budgeted funds?”, Home Times asks
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is the richest civic body in entire Asia!! Its annual budget is bigger than the combined budget of 16 states in India. However, the mystery is, despite being the overseer of such huge wealth, the condition of Mumbai roads, footpaths, gardens, hospitals and schools are in shambles!!  Hence, the frustrated Mumbaikars wonder: Where are the huge funds allocated in the annual budget to be utilised by BMC when the actual work done by BMC is a big zero??
Home Times thus asks BMC to stop taking the aam aadmi for granted and do its work sincerely, because the huge amount that BMC earns by way of taxes is the hard-earned money of the public!!! Hence, BMC must use the funds genuinely for solving public problems than deceiving Mumbaikars!

Home Times has also observed many people are angry with the poor working of the T-Ward officials but have no knowledge where to contact the concerned officials. Hence, to help Mulundkars, Home Times hereunder shares important phone numbers of T-Ward departments and urges Mulundkars to raise their voice against exploitation and do not be mere spectators to the lethargy of T-Ward officials!
