Starts Affordable Heart Care Centre For The Aam Aadmi In Mulund
Thane’s Jupiter Hospital is one of the world-class super-speciality hospitals in the suburbs. For the past 10 years, the hospital has dedicated a separate section exclusively for the middle and lower-middle class. This section has 50 beds and treats the patients at most economical rates!!
Taking a step further to help mankind, particularly the middle-class society, Jupiter Hospital, on Dussehra, inaugurated the Portable Heart Care Centre for the aam aadmi. The Centre was inaugurated at the hands of Heart Specialist, Dr. Ashwin Mehta.
Briefing Home Times about the Affordable Heart Care Centre, Dr. Ajay Thakker of Jupiter Hospital said, “There is an increase in heart diseases. According to reports, three persons in every five are suffering from heart diseases. Gone are the days when heart ailments were limited to the rich and the famous. In Mumbai’s fast and competitive world, even the middle and underprivileged sections are prone to heart problems.” He added, “Further, the expense of medication and surgery for heart diseases are exorbitant. It is beyond the capacity of the aam aadmi. Hence, our Jupiter Hospital has taken a noble step and started a Portable Heart Care Centre to help mankind and provide heart treatment at economical cost which is affordable for the aam aadmi .”
Giving details about the treatment process, Dr Ajay said, “Any aam aadmi who wishes to get treatment at the Affordable Heart Care Centre must submit a letter mentioning the family’s financial status. Apart from the letter, we do not take any other documents and start treatment.”
He further informed, “Our Jupiter Hospital has taken a modest step to help society by allotting a 10-bed Economical Centre. There is no age bar. Daily, between 6 pm to 9 pm heart patients can consult professionals and experienced heart doctors for a modest fee of just Rs 100/-. Besides, if the doctor recommends any test then these tests, too, will be done at 30 to 40 percent discount.”
“Through Affordable Heart Care Centre Jupiter Hospital wishes to serve the aam aadmi and extend a hand of social service to the society,” asserted Dr. Ajay Thakker.
