Finally, BMC Fills The Killer Potholes On LBS Marg!
Home Times, is perhaps the only newspaper in the suburbs that is highlighting people’s woes and successfully seeking their solutions, too. In one of its previous issues, Home Times had published the news of a road opposite Ralli Wolf Company on LBS Marg, which was ridden with several killer potholes. The news was noticed by the civic authorities and within 15 days of the news being published, BMC swung into action and filled the killer potholes, thus making the road smooth and friendly for commuting purposes.
Elated at the vanishing of the killer potholes, many commuters who are regular travellers on the road have expressed their thanks to Home Times for making the road free from potholes!
It may be noted that, before the start of the Metro Work on LBS Marg, BMC T-Ward had carried out the repair work of the footpath and widening of numerous lanes on LBS Marg. However, the concrete road opposite Ralli Wolf that was marred by many killer potholes was ignored!!!
Incidentally, the condition of the road was serious because these killer potholes were close to a sewage tank. Thus, chances were that if a person fell accidentally after hitting a pothole, then he would have either been killed due to his head hitting the iron-made sewage tank or be killed by a heavy vehicle running over him from behind. Despite such a grave issue, the negligent BMC workers turned a Nelson’s Eye to the pothole-ridden road and moved away just repairing the footpath on LBS Marg.
However, when people made a hue and cry and Home Times published the news, the civic body woke from its deep slumber and filled the potholes!!!
