OPEN PIT AT AMBAJI DHAM CORDONED OFF

Residents living in the vicinity of Ambaji Dham on M.G. Road in Mulund West can heave a sigh of relief as BMC has cordoned off the dangerous open pit with barricades and have put up a signboard proclaiming ‘Danger’! BMC took this action after Home Times brought to light the brute negligence of BMC in our news report titled, ‘BMC Negligence to the Fore!!  Two Mulundkars fall into a pit dug up by BMC’ in our issue dated Saturday, 22nd June – 28th June 2019!

In this news, we had highlighted how two Mulundkars, Nilesh Pancholi and Prakash Ughey, accidentally fell into the pit and became unfortunate victims of BMC’s Negligence. Shamed by its gross inaction, BMC immediately rushed and cordoned off the dangerous open pit.

One of the victims, Nilesh Pancholi, who made his earning driving an autorickshaw had to spend several days without work as he was severely injured. The accident was so severe that he could neither stand nor walk properly!!! Thus, the accident had adversely affected his daily livelihood.

Delighted with the impact of Home Times, Kethvi Fatade said, “I am really happy that Home Times is really doing a great job like a true crusader. Prior to Home Times news, the road had become perilous for pedestrians and was an open invitation to a big disaster. Surprisingly, despite 2 accidents, the callous BMC was least bothered! However, the moment Home Times exposed BMC’s negligence, BMC instantly initiated safety measures to save its face from further public flak!!!”
