Cold and Cough

The monsoon season is here, giving us relief from the scorching heat. But, it also brings along many illnesses, the most common being cold and cough which is a combination of nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, body pains, headaches, sore throat and, sometimes, fever. It is a viral infection, which is contagious and affects the upper respiratory tract. It is more prevalent in children and adults with low immunity.
Hence, the best way to prevent cold and cough infection is to develop the immune system of the body.

At our ‘Monisha’s Mantra, Mumbai – 80, we guide and assist in 5 ways to prevent and treat cold and cough without any medicine.
Increase the intake of Vitamin C foods. Vitamin C plays a very important role in boosting the immune system of the body and keeps us healthy. Vitamin C is present in lemons, lime, oranges, amla, grapefruit, guava, bell peppers and many more fruits and leafy green vegetables.

Stay hydrated with water, warm lemon water with ginger slice, vegetable soups and green tea.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine and aerated drinks which dehydrate the body.
Sleep well and de-stress with yoga and Smile meditation.
