Maghi Ganeshotsav celebrations
The Maghi Ganeshotsav celebrations have commenced in Mulund on a grand scale from 8th February. Giving impetus to the grand celebrations, Mulund’s Shri Swami Charitable Trust has erected a replica of Ram Mandir. Since the Ram Mandir issue has been hotting up throughout the country, devotees from Mulund will have an opportunity to get a darshan of Ram Mandir in Mulund itself. A 9-foot idol of Lord Ganesh has been installed here which, together with the grand illumination, has become the centre of attraction for Mulundkars. Under the stewardship of Shri Jagdish Shetty, Founder of Shri Swami Charitable Trust, Maghi Ganeshotsav is being celebrated in grand style since the last 12 years with much gaiety and pomp. This year the celebrations will include bhajans, Maha Aarti and other cultural activities. To add glamour to this event, Hindi and Marathi film and T.V. stars will also be present to pay their respects and seek blessings of Lord Ganesh.
