PURSE LOST, RECOVERED WITHIN HALF HOUR!!!
Recently, a picture of a righteous hawker and the competence of Mulund Police was seen in Mulund where the two helped a lady recover her purse in half an hour!!
According to Mulund Police, on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, Hitesha Sorathiya, a Bhandup resident came to RRT Road in Mulund West to pick up a good rakhi for the Raksha Bandhan festival. While the lady was busy shopping, suddenly a burglar snatched her purse from her bag and took to his heels. Initially, the lady did not realize but the moment she searched her bag she was left stunned to find her purse missing from her bag. She raised an alarm.
The rakhi stall vendors, Santosh Agravi, Ganesh Agravi and Narendra Pardeshi came to her rescue. They immediately traced the location of the lady’s mobile through G-Mail account. Meanwhile, the police also did not waste time in the legal formalities but got busy in tracing the accused. The police traced the location of the culprit through the chip of the mobile and the debit card. Interestingly, the PC Dhanaarji Kadam, Mahila PC Deepali Sinaare and PC Vishnu Ghore found the location of the mobile to be within the vicinity of RRT Road. The police instantly gave a call and on the other side of the phone they found a vegetable hawker who confessed that he has found a purse on the road.
The police and the lady rushed to the vegetable hawker and found the purse. Though the money was missing from the purse but an expensive mobile worth Rs 25,000/-, a debit card and other valuable documents were recovered. The burglar had taken Rs 2,000/- cash from the purse and dumped it on the road which was incidentally picked up by the hawker and kept aside safely. When the lady and police met him he gave the purse with a smile.
Delighted on getting her purse back, an elated Hitesha Sorathiya told Home Times, “I am extremely happy because these days we never get back our things that get lost. I, too, had lost all hope. I was hesitant to report the case to the police, but I must salute the efficiency of Mulund Police for displaying urgency and helping me get back my purse within half an hour!!”
