Kudos to Mulund Railway Station Authorities!
Kudos to Mulund railway station authorities who have repaired the roof at the entrance to the station, after ensuring that the 20-year-old tree lying in its path has not been harmed in any manner. Mulund is the prime example of conservation of trees not being sacrificed at the altar of progress. On the one hand, where ample trees are being hacked as a pre-monsoon measure, the Mulund station administration has ensured that the tree has been spared any damage while constructing the roof at the entrance. A wide gap has been created to ensure unhindered growth of the tree. In this way, the railway authorities not only successfully repaired the roof but also ensured tree conservation.
