KAMGAR HOSPITAL’S SECURITY UNDER SCANNER Corpse Causes Concern
Whereas on the one hand, Kamgar Hospital is in a sorry state, on the other hand, its security is in a dismal state. Last week, the discovery of a corpse in an abandoned water tank in its compound created a flutter. Till now, the police have not been able to identify the deceased. The hospital is spread over a large area, but one can notice the lack of security guards. Such untoward incidents reflect poorly on the security of the patients admitted here.
The corpse was first noticed by kids playing cricket in the adjoining compound. People fear that kids who pass by this place may also become victims of some unexpected terror. Since long this hospital has been mired in controversy for its treatment to patients, but now its decrepit condition and lack of good security is a cause of utmost concern. Its campus has an abundance of dense grass growth and tree clusters which prevent people from frequenting this area. Even the citizens and the hospital staff would be unaware if a mishap were to occur here. Moreover, patient face problems here especially after dark.
This hospital has been waiting anxiously for repairs and renovations for many years now, as the responsibility of maintaining it in habitable condition vests with the Public Works Dept. However, the lack of grant from the hospital’s management is resulting in the delay. as a result, plaster has been peeling off the ceiling at many places and certain portions have become weak because of disrepair. One can see heaps of mud and steel rods at many places as also filth, dried leaves, bushes, etc at the rear of the hospital. WHAT A PITY!!!
