BREAK-IN GANG FROM DELHI NABBED!!

The Navghar police have arrested three history-sheeters of a house-breaking gang from Delhi which involved in two major house-breaking cases in Mulund East. The police were able to trap the accused with the help of the CCTV.  Though the master-mind and one of the aides of the gang are still absconding, Navghar police are confident of nabbing the duo soon.

Speaking to Home Times, a police officer from Navghar police station said, “The gang hails from Delhi and frequently visits metropolitan cities like Mumbai to conduct robberies. After looting, they escape to Delhi and once the money gets over, they return to their business.”
Throwing light on their modus operandi, the officer said, “The gang usually targets posh areas of Mumbai. Before looting a house the gang members conduct a precise inspection of the region. After a detailed study, the members attack a house. However, before breaking into a house they would ring the bell to ensure nobody was present in the house. Besides, the members also locked the doors of the neighbours from outside so that nobody could spoil their evil designs.”

It may be noted, a few months back the gang had looted jewellery worth Rs. 2, 70,000/- from N.M. Joshi Building in Gavanpada in Mulund East. Later, in July, the same gang had stolen jewellery worth Rs. 1,25,000 and Rs. 40,000/- in cash. Fortunately, in one of the thefts, the gang members were captured on the CCTV camera and based on that the Navghar police laid a trap and finally arrested three members of the gang, where the gang members were relaxing and having fun with the booty!

The arrested offenders are identified as Ramesh Kumar Arora (52), Habib Hafiz Saifi (36) and Rinku Rajput alias Baba (26). The key accused Sadaf and Akbar Saifi are still absconding.
