At Last!! Christian Cemetery Renovated, Thanks To BMC

The BMC has, at last, was permission to the Christian community to completely re-structure and renovate their cemetery in Mulund (E). The Christian community has whole-heartedly thanked BMC for this generous gesture. Since the past many years the overhaul of this cemetery was hanging fire. Tall grass had begun to grow here, which had caused great inconvenience to the members of the community who came here to bury their dear departed. The prayer hall in this place was also in a shambles and the toilet was also in a dilapidated state.

Finally, members of the Catholic community met BMC T-Ward Asst. Commr. Kishore Gandhi and appealed to him to respond positively in the matter as soon as possible. Because of the aggressive follow-up, the final go-ahead was accorded to the Christian community and the cemetery was renovated completely. Moreover, the access road to the cemetery was also been repaired and painted. The prayer hall has also been repaired. Also, the fallen trees and dried up leaves have been cleared and the problem has been solved once for all.

This is the only BMC-controlled Christian cemetery in this Mumbai suburb which caters to this community from Vikhroli to Mulund. This makes it the most used Christian cemetery in this region. Lighting and seating arrangements have also been made thanks to BMC and the local corporators, for which the Christian community is truly thankful to the BMC.
