SEX RACKET BUSTED
Spas and massage parlours in Mumbai are thriving, but under the guise of salon-cum-spa, these parlours are known for operating flourishing sex syndicates. Recently, Mulund Police got a tip-off about a similar flesh trade being operated at Bliss Spa and Salon on L.B.S. Marg in Mulund West. Mulund Police arrested the manager and rescued four girls.
It may be noted the Mumbai Police is on high alert and conducting raids at salon-cum-spas that are illegally running prostitution business under in the disguise of a salon-cum-spa. After raids at Vile Parle and Borivali where 12 women were rescued, Mulund Police raided Bliss Spa and Salon at Mulund and unearth a sex racket operation. A Mulund Police officer said, “We got a tip-off about the sex racket, but to confirm and catch the accused red-handed we had sent a constable posing as a customer. After our constable fixed the deal, he signalled and we raided the place.”
The manager, Pawan Kumar (26), has been arrested. The 4 rescued girls have been sent to a rescue home. During the investigation, the police recovered Rs 20,000/- cash and a diary. The raid was conducted under the guidance of Mulund Police Sr.PI Ravi Sardesai and supervision of PI Sudhir Gadkari and his team. Mulund Police is hunting the 3 owners of the spa and one more manager.
