Mulundkars, join Home Times’ unique initiative Use RTO’s MTP App and remove khataaras from Mulund roads!!
Believe it or not, the khataaras lying abandoned by the sides of roads in Mulund are a major reason behind the traffic menace in Mulund. Home Times has been restlessly working on solving the traffic menace of Mulund. In its endeavor to find a solution for traffic jams, Home Times observed that if Mulundkars are vigilant and make a complaint about the scrapped vehicles unnecessarily occupying space on Mulund roads to the RTO, then the RTO does take action and removes such vehicles, thus making the roads free of junk vehicles and spacious enough for smooth traffic flow!!!
A few days back, Home Times team made a complaint of junk vehicles lying abandoned at Ashok Nagar, near Mulund Police station, Murar Road, etc., using the MTP App issued by RTO. To our delight, we found the RTO serious in its action. Within 3 days, the RTO removed the khataaras and made the roads spacious thus making traffic flow smooth.
Initially, in 2015, Mumbai Police has initiated a twitter handle @Mumbai Police to solve the growing grievances of the traffic menace. However, day by day, the number of grievances became too high. Hence, to tackle this growing number of traffic grievances, Mumbai Police in 2016 (June) launched an MTP called Citizen Android Mobile app. This MTP app has provision to solve 12 traffic-related grievances with special emphasis on solving people’s queries. Through this app, the motorist can register traffic-related complaints, give information about abandoned and junk vehicles to RTO, etc. The app is effective and takes quick action.
Readers can observe the impact of MTP app at Ashok Nagar where Home Times registered a complaint on the given WhatsApp number about 3 abandoned vehicles and within 3 to 4 days these khataaras were removed!!!
Similarly, near Mulund police station, 4 junk autos were lying abandoned for many months. Home Times made a complaint on MTP app’s WhatsApp number and, to our utter delight, these junk autos were also removed.
Thus, it is the earnest appeal of Home Times to Mulundkars to kindly make use of social media for concrete purposes. Kindly bring to the notice of RTO the khataaras lying anywhere in Mulund and see the difference!
