ALERT POLICE CONSTABLE NABS BOL BACHCHAN GANG
Recently, Navghar police have arrested members of the Bol Bachchan gang that preyed on innocent people and senior citizens with their sweet talk. This gang has been active in the jurisdiction of Navghar police station. That’s why Navghar police have sent two members of this gang packing behind bars.
According to Navghar police, in the afternoon of March 12, Mulund (E) resident, Dadabhau Bhaga was returning home from the market and was walking opposite Azad Hotel near Mulund railway station when he was accosted by an unknown person. The conman averred that he was from Kashi and wanted to know an address from the victim. In the meantime, another gang member joined in and, much to the victim’s surprise, removed a 5-gram ring from his finger and escaped from the spot. Fortunately for Dadabhau, Police Constable Vidhesh Dhupkar attached to Navghar police station gave chase and nabbed the duo conmen.
Upon interrogation, the accused, Arif Shaikh (49) and Fariyad Shaikh (45) spilled the beans and confessed that they are residents of Mumbra. Upon search of their person, the police recovered a horse-shaped gold ring. Sustained interrogation revealed that this gang would prey upon innocent persons and loot them after sweet-talking them. Going back in time, the same gang had robbed a senior citizen of Rs.40,000 cash on October 30, 2018 from a spot opposite Prashant Hotel. What’s more, complaints have been registered at almost 10 police stations in Thane, Navi Mumbai and Mumbai jurisdictions.
PI Pratap Bhosle, along with API Sandip Mane and constables Vidhesh Dhupkar Krishna Patil and others, under the direct supervision of Navghar police station Sr. PI Pushkaraj Raghuvanshi have cracked this case. Many other criminal cases of this gang are likely to come to the fore soon, as per police reports.
