LIONS CLUB OF MULUND’S ‘LEARN AND EARN’ PROGRAMME ENDS SUCCESSFUL
Each year, various welfare activities for women are undertaken by Lions Club of Mulund under its ‘Learn and Earn’ (Women’s Empowerment) initiative. Likewise, this year, too, a free demonstration was given to women on making home-made Aroma Soaps in which more than 70 ladies participated.
On this occasion Ghatkopar resident, Smt. Rachna Majethia, gave an excellent and awe-inspiring demo on making different varieties of aroma soaps in the comfort of their homes. The participants opined that such initiatives give them an opportunity to be independent in life. The cheerful and contended expressions on their faces said it all. The Chairperson for this project was MJF Lion Maya Kothari who has been working towards the welfare and independence of women since the last seven years, which was greatly appreciated by Lion President Sunita Desai, Chief Guest PDG MJF Lion Ashok Joshi (ID) Guest of Honour Zone Chairperson Lion Anand Agrawal as also all Lion members present on the occasion. They hoped that such a project should also be undertaken at the District level.
