BIKE THIEF NABBED: MOTOR CYCLE WORTH Rs. ONE LAC IMPOUNDED!
Mulund Police have arrested a dreaded bike thief, Jehangir Mulla, from Anand Nagar and have recovered a motorcycle worth nearly Rs.0ne lac from him. Mulla happens to be a resident of Amar Nagar, Mulund Colony, in Mulund (W). According to information handed out by Sr.P.I. Ravi Sardesai of Mulund Police Station, around 3 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2019 an informer tipped off a crime branch office at the police station that the accused, Jehangir Mulla, had been spotted at Mulund Dargah Road in Amar Nagar. Based on this information, Mulund Police laid a trap for Mulla and apprehended him. When the police interrogated him in connection with the high-end bike, Mulla confessed that he had stolen the bike from Nirmal Lifestyle Mall at LBS Marg in May 2019.
Revealing further, the police informed that the rightful owner of the Royal Enfield bike (MH 03 DE 9119), Kumar Vinod Dhanbahadur had filed a complaint on May 1, 2019, that his Bullet motorcycle had been stolen from Nirmal Lifestyle Mall at LBS Marg. The police were trying to locate this bike since the past 7 months. Now, that Mulund Police have Mulla in their custody, it remains to be seen how many more bikes from different areas have been stolen. Further investigations are on to solve this crime.
